SPSP is built as a consortium of stakeholders sharing a common interest in pathogen molecular data sharing. It brings together Swiss institutions with a focus on One Health, fostering collaboration across human, animal, and environmental health sectors. By integrating expertise from public health, clinical microbiology, veterinary science, environmental surveillance, bioinformatics and IT, SPSP aims to create a unified, sustainable framework for secure and FAIR data exchange, analysis, and interpretation.
This collaborative approach enhances the country’s ability to detect, monitor, and respond to infectious disease threats more effectively and in real time.
