SPSP Public Portal
The SPSP Public Portal provides transparent, near real-time access to public pathogen data collected within SPSP. As soon as genomic data have been submitted to public international archives (e.g. INSDC), data also become available on the SPSP Public Portal for anyone to browse and access the complete metadata catalogue. It is designed to support researchers in finding and accessing pathogen data according to FAIR principles.

Key objectives
-
Enable finding pathogen surveillance data with their complete metadata catalogue for researchers to identify datasets of interest and request access to them.
-
Promote data-driven insights into the circulation and evolution of viruses like SARS-CoV-2 and influenza-RSV.
-
Offer interactive dashboards for exploring trends and API access for programmatic data use.
-
Support collaboration between researchers, clinicians, and public health institutions.
Data Availability
The public portal currently provides access to clinical and wastewater samples
These datasets are organized by pathogen type and sample source and are accessible via:
- A public dashboard for interactive exploration of data visualizations.
- A public API for automated access to structured datasets.
Access and Authentication
No authentication is required to access the public dashboards or API. All users are free to browse and download the available public datasets under the terms of use provided by the SPSP Public Portal.
